I graduated in 2007 with a degree in European Studies with French. After having studied in France for one year as part of my degree, it is safe to say that I fell in love with the country and (with the exception of my final year at University) I have lived here ever since. After years of adventure and travel, together with my husband we settled down in Lyon, where my career in international partnerships & fundraising was based.
During this time, my love for interiors and design began, perhaps being inspired by the numerous beautiful architecture France has to offer. It was also at this time that we embarked on our first property renovation, transforming our 19th century apartment in the historical Croix Rousse area of Lyon (a project you can read about here). This project confirmed my passion for interior design and spurred me to take up part time study to gain a diploma in Interior Design.
Three years on, with an Interior Design diploma under my belt, more renovations and (last but certainly not least) a baby, life moved us on to the French Alps, where A French Address was created.
'If I were asked to say what is at once the most important production of art and the thing most to be longed for, I should answer, a beautiful house.'
